Taking the Crooked Road Home, a new CD by Linda Lay, Sammy Shelor & Crooked Run will be available for shipment Mon., Jan. 29. The new release on The Crooked Road music series, sponsored by the Virginia Foundation For The Humanities, features the the wonderful voice of Linda Lay, a native of Bristol, VA, the birthplace of country music.

The band consists of Sammy Shelor {banjo and vocals}, David Lay {guitar and vocals}, with guests Jeff Parker {mandolin and vocals}, Ron Stewart {fiddle}, David McLaughlin {mandolin and guitar}, and Linda with that driving upright bass. This is a CD that captures the sound of the Southwest Virginia bluegrass music.
